Principles and Practice of Dental Nursing – Level 3
Who can apply?
Anyone aged 16 years or over no formal qualifications needed. Maths or English qualification are not required.
Course duration
12 months with extensions available at an extra cost if needed.
Additional details
One-to-one assessor contact on a regular basis will be provided for support throughout the qualification.
Students will be required to work on a portfolio consisting of 12 units. To complete the portfolio, they must work as trainee dental nurses in a dental practice for at least 16 hours a week.

Course overview
The course will run using online videos & resources with quiz at the end of each module
It will be assessed both internally (workplace observations by experienced dental assessors and by completing assessment tasks set via e-portfolio). There are two online multiple-choice exams with no practical exam (revision resources and support will be provided).
Students must complete and pass both the components (portfolio and both exams) to gain a qualification certificate from the awarding body NCFE CACHE to register with GDC and become a registered Dental Care Professional.
